So, it's been more than a week...I would say I feel guilty, but that would be a total lie. I haven't been able to train for about a week while preparing for the Red & Black Ball. The event went great and now it's time to get back on the wagon, which was particularly hard today.
First, I've had a week off of training and that's been really nice. I've completely embraced my laziness. Second, it's Olympics time. I LOVE the Olympics. I have my Cowbell app for my iPhone and I know how to use it!
Needless to say, when I convinced myself that it was really time to get back to the gym, it was with great sadness. Luckily, tonight was just a two mile night and snowboard cross is on TV tonight, so that gives me something to look forward to watching. Seriously, how did I miss this sport before? Gotta go - it's on!

Hot wings & commercials!!!
It's Super Bowl Day, which means chowing down on hot wings and watching commercials. Apparently, there will be a football game on too, so that should be good. In honor of watching sports, I'm going to wear sweats to my parents' house for the game. That's code-word for "stretchy pants" which is code-word for a ton of hot wings.
Before I can partake though, I have to get a ton of homework done. My cats, Beans and Sweetpea, think I'm going to hang out with them all day and they're happy - for now. They will be mad when I leave.
And now, on to how the training is going....
It's been a tough week. My grandmother passed away earlier this week, so I haven't had a chance to blog.
I've been keeping up with my training, but I'll be honest, I missed a few days, but they were short distance days. I've definitely made sure I'm keeping up with all the long-distance days.
Yesterday was 6 miles, which was amazingly fine, but now I'm a little sore. Mainly, the soreness is my bad ankle, but since today is a rest day, it will have time to feel better.
Thanks everyone for all the kind words and for the donations to the Brown Cancer Center for Team Hobson!!!
